hey, i had big problems with physics (13 percent in mock) but i worked at it and we did another mock last week and i got it up to 47 and im pushing on for an honour now.. what i did was wrote down the definitions that came up year by year and learned them.. then practiced all the section a's.. then learned the graph questions and then practiced maths questions and theory for section b.. it will click into place, just put a system on it, its not untill the last week of exams so u have time if u spread it out well
sorry just saw this message now, here are some pointers that hopefully will be of help at some time in the future. Check out my website www.ryjolc.wordpress.com for information on how to approach Hamlet, questions you should be thinking of etc and if you want my full set of notes on the play please email me at ryjolc@gmail.com; these notes include a scene-by-scene summary of the play, with commentary on how characters and themes develop throughout, answer plans for themes and characters, and sample answers.
Hope this helps.

Hamlet's admirable qualities:
• While initially not suitable for the task, Hamlet eventually steels his resolve and kills Claudius as his father tasks him to – he is initially reflective and worried about the prospect of killing Claudius, but after meeting Fortinbras’ captain and realising the dedication of the Danish army in as meaningless a mission as towards Denmark he realises he must be similar, and returns from the trip to England with steely resolve, and eventually kills Claudius in the final scene.
• Hamlet is clever and cunning in his plan – he changes the lines of the play-within-the-play to confirm Claudius’ death, and uses the plan for madness to give him time to confirm his suspicions with such means as the Mousetrap, and keep his plan secret.
• Near the text’s end Hamlet accepts his fate – he realises he has little control over his fate and admits to Horatio despite the obvious danger attached to the duel one must be prepared to face death. Compare this to his earlier fears over death, suicide and the afterlife which prevented him from acting at all, and Claudius, who consistently tries to dictate his own fate.
• The task transforms Hamlet for the better – before Hamlet meets the ghost he is distrustful, disillusioned, depressed and melancholic but after he learns of Claudius’ act of regicide and is given his task of revenge the prince gains a purpose and, accepting the task, has a goal, which presents him as driven and determined.
Hamlet's character is not entirely noble:
• He is hypocritical – he is indignant at the manner of his father’s death and how Claudius brought it about, yet he shows no guilt or remorse when he kills Rosencrantz, Guildenstern and Polonius. Instead he tells about the switching of the execution letters akin to an adventure story, and speaks in mocking riddles when asked of the whereabouts of Polonius’ body.
• He takes his anger on Gertrude out on Ophelia – he berates Ophelia viciously for Gertrude’s faults, as his mother’s actions permanently paint women as immoral in his eyes. He links the two by their sex, as he rebukes Ophelia for the dishonesty and promiscuity of females, when in fact he is disgusted at Gertrude, as these are her traits. Compare his berating of Ophelia to the contrastingly light rebuke of Polonius, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern, who he admits hold the same traits.
• The prince is brutal – his treatment of many around him ranges from distasteful to sadistic. As shown above he berates Ophelia, verges on physical violence with his mother, kills Polonius and shows no regret, longs to bring damnation to Claudius and hence does not kill him in the act of prayer, while sending Rosencrantz and Guildenstern to their deaths.
• Hamlet knows he should kill Claudius, but is unwilling to: he does not kill Claudius when he has the opportunity, in the ‘prayer scene’, and instead only kills Claudius when pushed to the greatest extreme, when he has seen his mother killed and aware of his impending death. He even berates himself for this, such as when he compares himself to the actor in the Hecuba scene, or when he meets Fortinbras’ captain enroute to England.
