Here i am again , It’s been 2 weeks

I was sitting in Careers on Friday and my teacher was on about  applying to colleges in England. Naturally i looked at every prospectus in the room and then started drawing on my copy. Anyway i acctually saw a course that intrested me. Sociology and Media. I thought that would suit me . When i got home, straight away i started telling my  mam about it and of course she told me not to bother with that and go to UL . It’s not that i have a problem with UL ha. I just don’t want to go there. Maybe it’s a getting as far away from home as possible thing. I know it would probally be cheaper to go to UL when it comes to accomidation but it doesn’t have the course that i’m most intrested in. Anyway, i’ll worry about that next week

On Friday, my LCVP class went to the Ballygowan plant. It was acctually really cool . And i missed my Chemistry test which i had not studied for at all. That brings me to my title. I just realised this week that if i want to get the course i want and achieve my goals in life i’ll have to start studying properly. The room is cleaned, the motivational posters are up and the books are out. Today, i acctually spent an hour going over my home ec notes and i acctually learned it all.It’s still up there ( for now anyway :p ).

Tomorrow will be a day of study

Hamlet is on the agenda, along with Geibhann and Protein . Maybe i’ll type up the rest of my Home Ec  notes on Protein .

I seem to have been a bit lazy with the blogs lately .

Anyway, I got back all of my results for my Christmas Tests and they were ok but ehhh…

English – 80%

Irish—  72% (O)

Maths– 59%  (O)

Geography- 78%

French– 71%

Home Ec– 83%

Chemistry– 42%

Business–  71% (O)

LCVP–

• Theory– 77%
• Portfolio– 90%

So, Theres my Results, Mixed feelings for them. I was dissapointed with the maths, i thought that i did better.

Now, I finally got my Work experience together finally. I am going to be doing my work experience at the Limerick Animal Welfare Shelter, i can’t wait to be walking the dogs and mucking out the stables :L

We have been told to start thinking of our colleges and courses. So far it only seems that NUI Galway and UL have  what i’m looking for

Well i have a long question to write out on Hamlet so i must go.

The title is appropriate as it has been a while since my last post. I’ve been busy ( i would like to say studying but that would be a lie  )

This is my first post of 2011. I can’t believe its already 2011. I’m in 5th year and in my second term. I can’t believe anything. I am just amazed by anything even my shoelaces. I am writing this just after putting every cd i own back on to itunes after the new years massacre with the computer. Many files were lost, may they rest in peace. Not much news going on at the moment. No christmas results or anything like that. I am however looking forward to starting Hamlet when we go back to school . English is all i really care about in school now . Everything else is just like white noise to me. I’ve even been reading some extra poetry over the holidays. This wass on the day with no heating, water , or electricity.

Does anyone else find it feels like an Indian summer right now 8 degrees how i enjoy you.

I must recommend that evryone does too things in the remainder of there holidays.

My title was an attempt to make myself feel good . The advent has started. The new year will soon be upon us. I have my poem in for the christmas competion ” The Spirit Of Christmas”. There was snow!!. It’s freezing. All in all i am in a christmas mood. I am eagrely awaiting the 8th of december so i can go back to my childhood and hang my art masterpiece ( which i made when i was 7 and really is a deformed looking star with gold glitter glued on) on the tree and of course start christmas shopping which is a great excuse to point out what i want this christmas .

Who else has a strange if not sickening excitment for the budget next week. My english class have been discussing politics all week and some have suggested murder, a dictatorship, communisim and one person said they did not care as the world was going to end in 2012 . I am not exxcited about the actual budget but to see what the aftermath will be. What will the citizens of Ireland do?. Will they demand for the current goverment to be thrown out of the Dail?. And who will be hit hardest. It would be great if about a million people decided to march up to the House of the Oireachtas and peacefully protest. I say peacfully because i do not want to be known as a ‘firestarter’ but sometimes you cannot help but think….

Anyway, Christmas also means Christmas Exams!!!

With french and irish orals on my mind hoping that my ability to mix up 3 languages will not come forward during them as well as trying to put in a bit of study while keeping up with the homework which is astronomical. Not to mention the time i dedicate to watching Misfits ( TONIGHT!!) and Heroes. I need my dose of fantasy. Even though i decided to start reading the Harry Potter book’s again which is going well 3 down in two weeks and am crawling threw Darren Shan’s new book . Along with reading the paper and watching the news and trying to go to town every saturday. My life is very hectic something has got to go. Maybe TV will take a break once Misfits is over.

Once again i have completly gone off the point .

So….  I decided to predict my Grades for the exams and here they are.

Irish-      A

Maths-   A

Geography- C

French- C

Home ec- B

Chemistry- C

Business – D

LCVP- A

Ok do not forget Business, Irish and Maths are ordinary

Algerbra and complex numbers are my best in maths and thats all we are getting.

And pass irish is easier then honours Junior Cert which i found easy enough so those are grand

Business is my outside of scho0l subject that i ook up so i could do LCVP but i have done little study so i would say a D would be lucky for me

Ok, first of all the above title is encouraging the irish people to walk in the footsteps of the french and british who have recently protested for what they want which i think we should do instead of complaing about everything that goes  wrong for us in our country.

Well enough politics for one post well except maybe school politics.

So News now :

•  I got 30/100 in my french oral test today so that came as a bit of a wake up call, Start studying more!!
• I also got 76% in my latest chemistry test which i thought was fairly good seeing  as i was bottom of the class 2 weeks ago.
• Still no news about the result of the student council elections. The suspense is really starting to get to me .
• My business studies are going well, starting off with ordinary level exam questions.
• We have finished two comparitives completly in English. Sive and Inside I’m Dancing. I really enjoyed both of them. I’m looking forward to next week when we start writing essays about Law, Politics and other social aspects of life.
• LCVP : Work experience is still in the process of being found. I have applied to the Limerick Leader and am about to send off letters to The Limerick Post and My Local Libary.

Oh yes by the way i have decide to delete my facebook account as it was too distracting too have on my ipod. I still tweet a lot though so not much has changed. In some christmas related news i’m getting a Laptop for christmas!. Thank you  Santa . I finally won’t have to wait 20 minutes for my computer to load. I will be able to blog more easily and no have to worry about the computer rebooting during a blog post.

Some other news now readers, I may not blog again for aroung two weeks as my mother is going to America without me and i am banished to my Nana’s old house that lacks Internet connectivity. I may just walk to the libary if it’s not raining.

Happy 10/10/10

So Hows everyone???

i haven’t blogged in a while

I am so exhausted from the weekend. I was in town on Friday. Hi Becca . And Today I was studying . I don’t know why I bother I’ll never understand energy levels, sub-levels and orbitals even if Ms. o’ Connor shouts at me. I HATE CHEMISTRY . On the good side of school, we started our food studies assignments last Tuesday and there going well. Cooking chicken and broccoli bake on Wednesday. Do not know what to do about the chicken . Why cant the elderly be vegans too.

I got an A on my English essay . Thank you Ms Holly. Done in article form so good sign. Someday I’ll work at the new york times . I put down my blogging on my CV. Yay!!. Applying for work experience at The limerick leader . Hope it goes well.

Ah Saturday, the day were I am lazy

So, I am blogging to you today about the balance between study and having a life. Now i know some people might say, your only in 5th year relax a little bit but i sort of don’t mind study. it’s just when someone?? puts pressure on me. i hate pressure. . In the last week I’ve caught up with all of the 5th year stuff even though my house is getting a face lift. The smell of magnolia paint is killing me. Also i was sick for the last 2 days. But i caught up . only to find out that I’m going down to pass Irish which now means i can only get 560 points maximum .  not that i would of anyway . S0 that was a bummer. At least relatives coming home from England today. i guess that will be exciting.

So tomorrow i have to study English

Today , it just hit me this time next year I will be in 6th year. I will be hit by a bus full of work and nerves. I will most likely be a mess. I don’t know if I can keep up with it so I have decided to enter a study and homework coma of sorts.
