My new glasses I apologise, its been a while, I’ve also got a lot of slagging cause of these blogs, pfft :P .. Well i have     stayed away from allhonours.ie blogging simply because there’s the temptation of mocks spoilers, so i decided it was safe to come back after mocks (: loads of students from school knew what was coming up on the exam or either had it printed off already and handed out.. i didn’t seem to bother! I only did 3 mocks, business, economics and math paper 2 ( which was an utter sham) I was in China/Hong Kong for two weeks  and i came back right in the middle of them, so meaning i had to study for a month and never practiced any math til the night before my paper.. anyways, enough bladdering on about nothing, its 98 days til the Leaving Cert i hear? At this stage i just want it over with!.. I’m confident with business and accounting to be able to go into the leaving exam now, music is progressing along with economics.. German shall always be my down fall :) better start studying for orals and practicals.. and lvcp exam again.. Hope everyone had a lovely mid term and Easters round the corner and im 18 in 8 days :D . Partt-ayyyyy!! Anyways one last thing, i said I’d mention Gera in my first blog back, Hi Gera! He’s too cool to blog anymore.. :P Good luck to those just starting mocks. Don’t worry they don’t mean anything, :D Anyways see ya soon (: x

MayNew Moon. Edward Cullen. Xfactor. Tests. Work. Mocks. Christmas.

I know il sound like the average teen girl, but i loved new moon. I dragged a certain someone to it, but he enjoyed it, so he says :) . What did you all think of it? :) I’m planning on seeing it again next week, or seeing paranormal activity. :D

So school. I got 100% in economics test. ive never been so proud. and to top it off, i got 100% in intregration math test and accounting too. Its been a long way to my 60% average last year. Im begining to see the slight advantage to repeating. Even though im not fond of repeating im a little less stressed and more focused ( i think).

I was at DCU open day, kinda fell in love with the city, and the talks made up my mind that I don’t want to go through UCAS :) . I’ll just work hard and get what i deserve and hopefully get into UCD or DCU, :)   Points wise I need roughly 450, since I reckon points will rise this year, I’m going to aim for more though, really push my limits maybe, hopefully get my entry requirement of a C3 in German so I can qualify for DCU this time. woo.

I just got offered a job and the weekend.. it was spur of the moment, i felt to honoured they approached me. I agreed without thinking how this will affect me.. so within the weekend? :S ah… which come first? presumingly education.. but ahhh!! Its only 5 weeks till Christmas holiday.. by god, I really need to get into it, I just want to prove to all those people that are giving me negativity about this year, ive heard to many time that “whats gonna happen now if you get less points that last year, sickend!” I am thinking of the possibility of banning myself from facebook! :(

ENOUGH RANT MAY! haha

On a happy note, i havent been this happy all year. :) im seeing the other side of life :D and im going to make out a weekly timetable.. and maybe stick to this one. off to homework. Then.. XFACTOR :)

Byee :) xx

P.s i need urgent help on theory on Music..  any hints on books, or revision books? :)

Ucas Predictions..

MayI’m all chuffed I’m one of the bloggers now :)

How is everyone? Its Sunday morning and .. really should of studied a bit before I went away yesterday, meaning my whole Sunday is now for study I reckon :/.. Fun. Ah “no pain no gain” as they say..

Got my predicted grades for UCAS… Was so disappointed, I’ve new teachers, I’ve only had them for roughly around a month, and there telling me they don’t see me getting A2’s based on what I got last year. Sickens my… so Predicted Grade were (All higher btw) Business – B1 (max, she said I wouldn’t be capable of a A2 based on what I got last year), Economics – B2, Math B2 (was so happy with this), German C1 (also very happy with this :) ), Accounting B3 (Meh, wanted higher, I’ll just have to prove him wrong ;) ) Music, well I just predicted that myself based on my ability to do the piano for the practical, I say.. Hopefully a C3 :) LCVP – I got a Distinction last year, hoping for the same this year! :) I loved LCVP. One of the best things I did :) . Thing is, i didnt study last year. This year i am!

I think it adds up to 480 or something? I’m not sure, I don’t want to start calculation points. I’ll just get addicted like last year, I’m sure I spent more time calculating what I need or what I think I could get than I did spend studying most night. What a waste in honesty..

Part time jobs? DONT DO THEM. They take up so much time, I work for my dad which isn’t so bad, I work when I need the money, and when I’m busy my dad understands, so it’s easy enough, but it can be stressful if I have to work and I’m loaded with test and essays etc. Education comes first before money and luxuries. In secondary school anyways, College students say the Leaving Cert is one of the hardest exams you’ll ever do in your life. :(

I better go before I start ranting random, useless information. Study time now, and ill try and stay away from poker on facebook. woooo!
Auf Widersehen,

x

Say hello to May!

leave a comment

MayWell hello my fellow Leaving Certs. I’d like to introduce myself, I’m May Wong. 17 years old. I’m unfortunately repeating the leaving cert this year. You just couldn’t tell me last year, i was too busy wasting my time on the net, and doing nothing really. I’ve to go through the same old jazz, ucas, cao, grade predictions, studying, continuous test, orals etc all over again, and this time i think ill really prioritise my time.

Since i came back, all I’ve heard is MOCKMOCKSMOCKLEAVINGCERT. Most people are either giving dig’s at me and the rest of the repeats because they presume we failed everything or were too stupid to get our points, but I won’t get into that rant today :)

We have 7-8 months till the leaving again, and roughly around 3 months till the mock, actually isn’t too far away. Now the pressure and the stress starts to commence. I wish I would of listened to my parents about studying earlier, suppose it’s true you can’t put a old head on young shoulders..

I have the relief of dropping honours English and Irish this year. Never had they weight lifted off my shoulders, but in saying that I have taken on honours music this year and I’ve put myself in the deep end as I didn’t do it in the junior either.. haha, so I’m just holding onto my practical for dear life and going on intense music grinds and math grinds.

Wondering why I’m repeating? And no I didn’t fail anything, I got my points 385 with my lack of study, I was so disappointed with myself at the time, it’s not that bad, but it’s nothing to be proud of, I actually did get my second choice BUT I didn’t get the honours language requirement of a C3.  I got a D1 and when I viewed my paper? 3% off from the C3.  Sickend.  So I’m back for that C3 this year, and I’m going to put all my effort into it this time. Maybe go from 385 to 485? :) I really got clean up my act though and stop playing pet society and poker on Facebook! It doesn’t help in any way for the leaving cert but I gotta say, allhonours.ie saved my ass last year, was the best online help I could get and the best feedback for answers.

Please remember, cramming does not work 100%. Start now, bit by bit you’ll get there!! Study, Study, Study!!
Just think, the more you study, less chance you’ll be back repeating the leaving, when you could be at college ;)

College in UCD or DCU next year, hopefully :) Anyways, better get a start on all my weekend homework….wooo :P
Toodles everyone :)
xx
