if i were you i'd learn gv & v instead because its tipped to come up too and its so much easier! you simply describe if a text is optimistic or pessimistic by comparing and contrating subject matter, characters outlook, obstacles facing characters and closing scenes! i didnt do literary genre so cant help ya with it sorry! but good luck

Literary Genre is how the author/director tells the story. For example in Sive, you could talk about how Keane uses Music and Song by Pats and Carthalwawn as a way of narration, how the stage directions reveal characters attitude towards each other, for example "mena looked at sive piercingly" and how dialogue is important as it reveals characters motivations. In Casablanca you could talk about the effects he uses and why it is so effective such as use of flashbacks, montage edited sequence, superimposed images etc. and for Pride and Prejudice do basicly the same things pick out some techniques which are similar to those above and also unique. Like dialogue is common in all. I don't know if you have done the same texts as me but if not then whatever they are, its basicly the same idea. Pick out techniques that are unique to it and similar so that you have a balance.
    Hope that helps!!
