If your looking to do a science degree like I did you need a science subject but not specifically chemistry.</p> <p>At the end of the day the Chemistry course is shorter but requires understanding, Biology's long but very easy to understand. I don't recommend you take subjects outside school it's a lot of work and it can be very hard to motivate yourself so only do it if you need the subject for college. I'm glad I chose Chemistry! My teacher says they have reduced the course a lot because hardly anyone was doing it for leaving cert. Also, if you do a fair amount of work, it's easy to get an A.<br /> So far, I haven't found anything too diffucult about Chemistry. The stoicheometry is quite difficult at first, but after a bit of practise it gets easier! With langugages it also can be a bit precarious as marking can be subjective, I was an A student for most of last year and ended up with a B in the exam because the paper was too easy (and also the oral, but you know) Allthat I'm saying is that try to find subjects that you, above all, like because if you don't like it you'll tend not to work at it, like myself and business. A lot of people on this thread have said business but, for me, business is one of my moat difficult subjects, I've only gotten one A1 in it this year and that was on a test which was purely maths based, which I prefer. So you need to decide which subjects suit you, and also those that you may need as requirements for college courses as you don't want<br /> to cut down your choice at this early stage </p>
